Opportunity Overview

Johns Manville is currently seeking qualified applicants for Senior Labor & Employment Counsel in our World Headquarters located in Denver, Colorado.
Senior Counsel will work under the direction of General Counsel and Associate General Counsel - Labor & Employment. This role will provide legal counseling, advice and representation on a variety of labor, employment, benefits, and worker's compensation matters.
Applicants can expect to make between $140,000 to $170,000 upon hire. Pay within this range will vary based upon relevant experience, skills, and education among other factors. In addition, this position is eligible for a target incentive bonus under our variable incentive plan.
This position is based out of the Johns Manville global headquarters in Denver, CO. This is also a flexible work arrangement with both in-office and remote workdays.
Your Day To Day:

Provide legal advice, counsel, and representation for the Company on a variety of employment and labor law compliance issues.
Conduct investigations into allegations of violation of policy, procedure or law.
Represent the Company before regulatory agencies, conduct investigations into regulatory charges, prepare position statements and other responsive documents to be filed with the agency, prepare witnesses and participate at on-site investigations.
Represent the Company at formal and informal mediation and arbitration.
Conduct legal research and analyze legal issues with a focus on providing the business with legally compliant solutions that meet business needs.
Draft and finalize documents, including policies, correspondence, procedures, agreements, contracts, benefit plans and communication materials.
Develop and provide training to all levels of the organization.
Develop and maintain expertise in the areas of practice and proactively identify issues of concern for the company.
Supervise outside counsel in handling litigation matters.
Provide advice, counsel and oversight regarding immigration issues.
Other duties as assigned or required.

What You Bring To The Team:

Juris Doctorate from a top law school with strong academic credentials.
Member in good standing of any U. S. state bar.
8-12 years of experience in legal practice.
Experience in litigation/arbitration/mediation
Experience practicing at a large law firm preferred.
Highest level of integrity and ethics.
Interest in professionally developing into an expanded role.
Demonstrated ability to work creatively, efficiently, and cooperatively in a fast-paced environment.
Demonstrated ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
